Helicon and Focus Stacking

This is a great piece of software that allows you to combine multiple images with different focus points. It is useful in many situations but particularly with macro shooting, it enables you to get the whole bloom in focus. You can use RAW files as well as most others… any number of images and it’s very fast too.

Here is a quick example that shows a combination that would have been difficult otherwise. If I had used an f-stop to get both in focus, the background would have been coming into focus as well.
