The news isn’t all bad since the frosty nights this week at the beautiful WRAL Azalea Gardens. I went by today and was surprised to find many tulips in full bloom.. and azalea buds that looked pretty good. The few camelias also looked great. There are some that obviously got hit but they were pretty in their own way.
The North Carolina Museum of Art has a wonderful exhibit of cars from the 1930’s and 1940’s. You can see them through January 15.
JC Raulston Arboretum had their Open House yesterday with plenty of poinsettias to see. The pink one really got my attention.
Our CNPA Triangle region visited the Historic Yates Mill park yesterday. It was alive with brides, an actual wedding, numerous portrait photographers and another photo club! We had a great time with some color starting to show, beautiful weather and a great group. After shooting we enjoyed a nice dinner at T K Tripp’s.
The New Hope Railway in New Hill, NC is a hidden gem for photographers. Lots of train cars that give rides on occasions and others that are under renovation. It’s amazing view of the past when steam trains ran the rails. Lots of details among the tracks!
